Big contract wins and new management talent ushers in a new era of development for Van Elle’s successful Smartfoot® pre-cast modular foundations division.

Smartfoot® is enjoying industry-wide success working with most of the big names in housing as well as clients from the world of leisure, commercial and modular construction.

Darren Senior joins Van Elle, the geotechnical engineering specialists, as Smartfoot® Divisional Director. Coming from a strong manufacturing background, Darren worked as factory (or senior?) manager for Tarmac TopPave.

“Being asked to join the team is really exciting,’ says Darren, ‘there is a huge amount of potential for Smartfoot® in the market. What I really want to do is ensure that we’re continuing to achieve our best in terms of manufacturing and quality whilst reaching the highest health & safety standards we can.’

The new team also includes Mark Williams, Group Business Development Manager, who will be spearheading Smartfoot®'s development,

The product makes a lot of commercial sense for our clients too, when you can install up to 400m in a single day it really makes people take notice!”
