As part of the latest development plans for the company Van Elle have opened their Irish office based in Kildimo, Limerick.

Pat O'Hara

Kerryman Pat O’Hara returns to Ireland to head up the operation 20 years after leaving for the UK. Having worked for Van Elle for 15 years, and with a good understanding of the Irish industry, he was the right man for the job.

The Irish office will aim to build on the success achieved in the UK. Turnover for 2006/7 has broken expectations at nearly £50m and the company now employs nearly 400 people. This is what Van Elle is aspiring to in Ireland over the coming years.

“We’re aiming to turnover €10m within the first five years and hope to employ 20-30 local staff,” says Pat, “We’ll be servicing the whole country with all of our products. We want to build a strong Irish company which we can expand to a network of offices across the country, servicing a wide range of clients and we want to do it by including the people and business from the local area.”

Van Elle is committed to developing business relationships within the region in order to help deliver their nation-wide piling, ground stabilisation, modular foundations and geotechnical services. They will be adding real expertise to an already strong Irish construction industry. Their ground engineering capabilities are amongst the best and the Irish office is backed up by a fleet of modern rigs and highly skilled staff.

Van Elle is also committed to Modern Methods of Construction and sustainable product development with their Smartfoot® modular foundations system, screwpiles and pre-cast concrete piles.
