Van Elle Ltd. is one of the leading
geotechnical, piling and foundation engineering contractors in the UK who are embarking on a new phase of development and expansion from their Eastern
regional office in Dereham. Group turnover for this financial year ending April 2007 has exceeded forecasts and stands at over 40m, representing growth of over 60% in the past five years.
Earmarked by the construction industry as one of the most important regions for
private industrial development, the Eastern region accounted for the largest
single output of construction within this sector in 2006.
To capitalise on this market growth, Van Elle's Eastern region has taken
delivery of a new Soil Tek restricted access piling rig, weighing only 15 tons,
but capable of high production and giving increased capabilities in housing
developments, railway and highways projects, urban civils projects and piled
retaining walls.
In addition, our Vemech® pre-cast concrete segmental piles - which are
manufactured on site - are in high demand on a wide variety of construction
projects. And so too is our Smartfoot® pre-cast modular foundation system.
This system encourages the move towards more sustainable offsite production and
Modern Methods of Construction now being embraced by builders and developers.
In addition to the investment in plant, a recruitment drive is underway to
service expansion plans for the area with a real focus on driving the business
forward.
"We see the Eastern region as a dynamic and developing area", says Steve
Morton Van Elle's Eastern Regional Managing Director. "We're seeing real growth
in housing development, commercial and industrial construction. We are at the
heart of that growth and coupled with our wealth of local knowledge and
experience gained over the past 18 years, we will continue to provide a wide
variety of value engineered, innovative foundation solutions and techniques."
