Utilities
Some of the largest projects Van Elle have been involved with in recent years are for the utilities sector and sustainable power generation and waste management have both played a major part in this increased spend. Whilst many construction sectors are shrinking, we have experienced a significant growth in utilities and our experience in this sector, our ability to utilise a combination of both restricted access and much larger piling rigs on single site and our clients' experience of working with us ensures that this work is sure to grow further.
Regularly and repeatedly working for names such as NMC Nomenca, Aecom, KMI Plus, Black and Veatch, Carillion, Trant Construction, Morrison Utilities and Galliford Try, our professionalism at the design and construction phases give clients confidence that their project's foundations are in good hands.
As the sole drilling contractor to Eon for the government's social housing contract, we installed many geothermal boreholes to enable residencies formerly burning coal to benefit from this innovative and most sustainable of heat sources.
We have carried out many Waste Water Treatment Works projects including Stoke Lyme Valley, Minworth and Stoke Bardolph, all of which went extremely well and we have received excellent feedback from the clients. Having completed many of these projects now, we are familiar with the requirements and scope of such projects enabling us to work even more efficiently, propose time and cost saving alternatives at the design and early tender stages and utilise the most suitable rigs.
Projects, such as Narec, GKN, various Rolls Royce and power station schemes we have completed, although demanding, have emphasised the advantage we offer our clients, over competitors, using our in-house design team to liaise directly with the engineers to recommend alternative piling/foundation solutions. Due to the very challenging requirements of such projects and the minimal settlements required in some cases, we have demonstrated our ability to successfully design, manage and install complex solutions highlighting our technical excellence aided by new and innovative rigs/techniques.
