Our team carrying out CFA piling works as part of a major new industrial development in the North East has been awarded two consecutive “Subcontractor of the Month” awards, based on our safety and quality performance from our customer, Wates.
The team commenced work in August and have already installed 1600No 600mm piles to depths of up to 14 metres.
To promote a positive health and safety culture, and a collaborative subcontractor relationship, Wates organised a subcontractor monthly safety award scheme, which has been awarded to Van Elle for two months running in August and September.
The criteria includes an assessment of PPE, housekeeping, working at height, management of offloading deliveries, site safety audits, toolbox talks, attendance of health and safety meetings, method statements and risk assessments, plus attitudes of staff and observations raised.
Speaking about the award, Works Manager, Joe Page said: “We are delighted to have been awarded subcontractor of the month for two consecutive months.
“The team on site continuously maintain a good safe standard of working and take all matters relating to health and safety very seriously, by following the right procedures and reporting if anything poses a risk or is of concern.
“I’m very proud of their work and their consistent commitment to health and safety.”
