At Van Elle, we’re proud to be supporting National Apprenticeship Week 2023.
This is the 16th annual week-long national celebration of apprenticeships and takes place between the 6th -12th of February.
We’ll join others across our industry in celebrating the value, benefits, and opportunities that apprenticeships bring and the positive impact they make to communities, businesses, and the wider economy.
This year’s theme is “Skills for Life” reflecting on how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career, and businesses to develop a talented workforce that is equipped with future-ready skills.
We recognise that our industry is experiencing a skill shortage, and therefore it is vital that we create career paths in order to continue developing a strong, thriving workforce for the future.
From entry-level to senior level, we believe our apprenticeships are crucial in helping us to achieve that.
Everyone should consider apprenticeships as a fantastic opportunity, whether they want to start their careers or advance their skills.
We currently employ 22 apprentices across a range of disciplines, levels and specialisms, some of whom came straight from school and others who accessed the scheme after changing careers or wanting to upskill.
Our apprentices are currently undertaking qualifications in industry-specific areas such as piling, civil engineering and quantity surveying, through to areas such as HR business administration and IT.
Throughout the week we’ll be celebrating our apprentices and recognising the amazing work they do.
