We are pleased to announce the commencement of project enabling works for a station upgrade in Toronto, Canada.
This work forms part of the GO Expansion project, a $16.8bn rail infrastructure transformation in Toronto, which will see the station significantly improved, including the installation of a second track.
During this initial phase, we’re installing timber crossings and replacing life-expired timber ties.
This is essential to allow on track plant to access and egress the rail safely, ahead of major upgrade works.
Our team is utilising specialised equipment such as a JCB RA310 with a NOX tilt rotator and tie grapple, as well as the manual installation of plates, anchors, and spikes to complete the works.
As the project progresses, further phases will involve the construction of temporary access ramps and a retaining wall.
