We’re proud to announce that for the second year running, we’ve received a certificate from our supplier, John Lawrie Tubulars, recognising our significant contribution to environmental sustainability.
Over the past 12 months, our efforts have resulted in a saving of 5,639.93 tonnes of CO2e, furthering our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint.
Last year, for every tonne of steel tubular purchased, we contributed to a saving of 5,294.47 tonnes of CO2e, highlighting our ongoing dedication to sustainability.
This year’s achievement builds on that success, with John Lawrie Tubulars continuing to supply us with repurposed steel tubulars for various piling projects across the country.
This partnership underscores our shared commitment to sustainability and the critical role our suppliers play in helping us meet our environmental objectives.
John Lawrie Tubulars’ life cycle assessment demonstrates a 97% reduction in CO2e emissions by repurposing steel tubulars compared to producing new prime steel.
This aligns perfectly with our net-zero goals and delivers significant benefits for both our organisation and our valued customers.
Lisa Comery, Head of Procurement, commented: “We’re delighted to receive this certificate for the second consecutive year, acknowledging the positive environmental impact we’ve made.
“As businesses worldwide set their sights on achieving Net Zero by 2050, partnerships like this reinforce the importance of collaboration in achieving our collective environmental goals.”
