Our Specialist Piling team has successfully completed a complex piling project at a Water Recycling Centre, supporting the construction of a new tank base.
The works involved the installation of seven 600mm Sectional Flight Auger (SFA) piles, each reaching a depth of 12 metres. Despite significant access constraints and challenging ground conditions, the team delivered the programme safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
The site posed several logistical challenges, including narrow entry points and limited space for manoeuvring equipment, which required careful planning and the use of specialist machinery designed for confined environments. In addition, the presence of hard subsurface strata demanded adaptive piling methods to ensure the integrity of the structure.
To overcome these challenges, the team deployed the Hutte 207, the largest rig in our Specialist Piling fleet. This powerful rig allowed the required depth and specification to be achieved while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Through meticulous planning, effective temporary works, and precise site coordination, the project was completed within a tight four-day programme, exceeding client expectations.
The client praised the team for their professional approach, technical expertise, and efficient delivery, highlighting the project as an excellent example of collaborative problem-solving under challenging site conditions.
Well done to all involved in this project!
