Last Thursday, Van Elle hosted a charity football match in support of our Charity of the Year, Bottled Up Blokes.
Our two teams competed in a 90-minute match, marking our first official fundraising activity for the charity following last month’s successful raffle, raising over £200.
The match saw the Under 30s face the Over 30s, combining friendly competition with a shared commitment to a meaningful cause.
The under-30s, led by Ryan Phillips and Captain Harvey Gotheridge, put in a fantastic performance. Special congratulations go to William Harrison, who scored all four goals, an incredible display of skill and determination.
The over-30s, led by Andy Howard and Captain Matthew Carrington, showed great determination throughout the game. Both of their goals came from penalties, scored by Alex Lewis and Martin Grainey.
We extend our thanks to everyone who took part, supported the teams, and contributed to this important initiative. We would also like to thank Pinxton FC for kindly offering their pitch for the game, arranging referees, and providing valuable support with the planning and organisation.
