Danny Bunting, our Civils Director, has won the Project Leadership Award at the Federation of Piling Specialists (FPS) Awards 2025.
The ceremony took place on Friday, 21st November at the Hilton London Bankside Hotel and celebrated the outstanding achievements of individuals and companies across the piling and ground engineering sector.
Widely regarded as one of the premier highlights of the geotechnical calendar, the event brought together more than 300 professionals for an evening of recognition, networking and celebration.
Danny received this well-deserved accolade in recognition of his exceptional leadership, technical expertise and delivery on a major ground engineering project.
He has played a pivotal role in representing Van Elle within the TRU West Alliance, comprising Network Rail, BAM, Arup and Amey, and in leading Van Elle’s foundation package for the Transpennine Route Upgrade, a multi-billion-pound programme enhancing rail infrastructure between Manchester and York.
His leadership has ensured seamless coordination, innovative geotechnical solutions and the successful delivery of critical project milestones, significantly contributing to the Alliance’s objectives and the wider success of this transformative rail upgrade.
