Van Elle’s Site Supervisor Programme Receives Outstanding Feedback

Last week we held another cohort of our internal Site Supervisor Programme, aimed at further developing the leadership skills of our site management teams.

This bespoke programme, held at our training centre in Kirkby is funded by CITB and highlights our ongoing commitment to developing our people. This programme represents a significant investment in our employees, addressing gaps in formal training in leadership and management.

Including our 90 supervisors’ company-wide, the programme is conducted in three-day monthly blocks with 8-12 participants per cohort. The training is designed to be both practical and interactive, focusing on real-life experiences and scenario-based learning to foster deeper understanding among participants.

We have been lucky enough to speak to some of our previous cohorts and see what they had to say about the course.

Here is what some of our cohorts had to say:

‘Probably the best course I’ve done in over 20 years, thank you.’ – Glenn

‘This course was brilliant. Highlighting what we do right and wrong and gave us more tools to better our job roles. Getting more form myself and motivate our crews to do the same. Also, James was engaging, interesting, and very approachable. He was very good at triggering us to learn and enjoy learning.’ – Craig

‘Learned a lot from this course, very well tutored and engaging, enjoyed it. Well done to all involved.’ – John

Our Site Supervisor Programme reflects a strategic focus on standardising and elevating supervisory skills, reinforcing our dedication to safety, quality, and ongoing professional development. It’s great to see our course making an impact for our site supervisors at Van Elle.

Well done to all groups for successfully passing the course!
