Rail works successfully delivered over Christmas blockades

Between 24 and 30 December, several of our teams sacrificed time with their families to safely deliver a range of projects over the Christmas period.

Over 50 team members from the Rail and Specialist Piling divisions delivered essential work safely and ahead of programme on the following projects:

Birmingham New Street Commissioning Works

Exchanging generator and fuel tanks with our Colmar Crane T10000, commissioning new signals with RRV MEWPS and recovering signals and all signal equipment utilising our JCB RA310.

Neville Hill West Junction (Leeds TRU East)

Installation of 5no OLE foundations in difficult ground conditions where specialist equipment deployed included our VESPA DTH mast and our new Movax KB70S mast.

Core Valley Lines Electrification – Treherbert

Works consisted of 87no OLE foundations installed utilising our Colmar T10000 and Colmar T12000 with Movax SG and BSP hammers.

Our team also commenced work at Dawlish Station Phase 3, where they began installing 16 no piles to support the lift shaft and link bridge works, which will connect both sides of the station.
