Supporting community cohesion in Coventry

As part of our commitment to delivering value-added engineering, our team have pulled out all the stops on a project in Coventry, for client Osborne.

We recently commenced work on the A46 Binley Junction project, to support the building of a new flyover bridge, to ease local traffic congestion.

Led by Piling Foreman, Joe Page, the team are installing 43 abutment piles (1200mm diameter), 14 Pier P1 piles and 20 Pier P2 piles (900mm diameter).

Working closely with Osborne for Highways England, members of our team – including piling engineers James Horley and Ryan Marshall – attended a series of community liaison events.

The sessions, hosted in several nearby community locations, provide an opportunity for local people to ask questions and learn more about the project.

Having heard that Osborne are championing Coventry Food Bank, Van Elle employees and suppliers Lemon Steel and Hanson UK also donated almost 20-kilos of biscuits.

The biscuits, which will be sorted for food bank users to access via the 12 centres around the city, were delivered by our Business Development Manager, Jan Jones.
