David Maxwell, joined the company in January 2019 as a Contracts Manager for our Rail division in Scotland.
With experience working in rail since 1997, David has worked with contractors and companies including Babcock International and even Network Rail.
He has even worked overseas on civil engineering and infrastructure projects in the United Arab Emirates and Oman.
Speaking about his promotion to Regional Manager for Scotland, David said: “I was working as a contractor when I luckily landed the job as Contract Manager at Van Elle.
“Working as a Contracts Manager has been great; I enjoyed the role.
“But, I’m now looking forward to my new role where I will be fostering the client relationships more.
“I’m eager to be the go-to guy, so to speak, for all of our major rail projects in Scotland.”
In his new role David will be taking on more business development opportunities, delivery load and supporting the Southern teams when required.
He added: “We are ready, willing and able to deliver piling projects and heavy civil projects to the general construction market.
“We are here based in Blantyre, we have a strong presence up here and we want to do more work, as a company, north of the border.
“I am excited by the challenges ahead.”
