We have recently signed the Armed Forces Covenant, a Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme which recognises businesses and organisations that demonstrate support for armed forces personnel, veterans, and their families.
This commitment will see us promote ourselves as being an Armed Forces, friendly employer and support the country’s servicemen and women to ensure no member of the Armed Forces should suffer any disadvantage as a result of their service.
We recognise the contribution that Service personnel, reservists, veterans, the cadet movement and military families make to our organisation, our community and to the country.
We will seek to uphold the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant by:
- Promoting the Armed Forces internally and externally and attending open days and career events
- Employment and apprenticeship support to members of the Armed Forces Community.
- Communications, engagement and outreach at national events.
- Health & Wellbeing by offering free health care and assistance with wellbeing activities and events
- Educational assistance and career professional development provided via our in house Authorised training facility and our own accredited trainers
- Local and national Civic responsibilities
In signing the pledge, we have committed to achieving the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme awards and look forward to further demonstrating our support for the Armed Forces Community.
